Everybody is talking about the North Water Paddle Floats! No leaks or finicky valves and it is ready when you need it most. In cold water situations you want immediate and simple access to a paddle float.
It is stored on your back deck and lets you slip your paddle blade into the outside sleeve where it is ready for use. Built from durable UV resistant fabric, it is available in Red or Yellow.

For "outrigger self-rescue" and "stirrup-assisted" rescues, the flotation in this rescue float is provided by high-density closed cell foam. No more surprise leaks or cold fingers fumbling with valves. A red nylon shell that fits any paddle covers the float. The Rescue Float is built to take in enough water to give you stability on both sides of your boat. This prevents your boat from rolling to the "off side" while balancing over the cockpit.

Rescue Float II

The stirrup line is made from a brightly-colored yellow, floating one-inch webbing. It has a lanyard attachment and can be stored along with other safety products (such as a dye and flares) in a pouch on the outside of the bag. Essential for those paddlers who do not have a solid roll.

Long distance towing can be very uncomfortable. The North Water Tow Line puts the strain on the coaming rather than the paddler. Equipped with a quick-release for safety and built-in shock cord for smooth effective towing. Highly visible floating line puts enough distance between the two boats for those West Coast swells. It is adjustable for single or double entry cockpits. Each component has built-in flotation and is corrosion-resistant. The whole system fits into a compact, flotation-equipped throw bag.

Quick Release Rescue

This sleek compact tow line unfolds to make a large wide mouth bag that is easy to re-stuff in rough water. The tow line can be adjusted to any length using a detachable anchor system.
We chose a 55' length of 1/4" polypropylene rope with 8 % stretch to reduce jarring while towing. It comes with a fully adjustable quick release belt or can be used with any PFD quick release belt.

This towline is for those that prefer towing from the waist. These are widely use by instructors and tour operators where they may only be towing for short distances. This unique design allows you to tow with any length of line you like, up to 50 feet. It can also be used as a 50 foot throw bag. If you are towing with 15 feet, you can still use the throw bag with the remaining 35 feet. As with any of our sea kayaking products, the hardware is resistant to salt water. The belt is equipped with a quick-release cam buckle.
